Things I'm thankful for...

  1. I only have 2 more finals - I'm so glad! Ok, so I also have a "practice board exam" too, oh well.
  2. I'm excited that it's Thursday - the weekend is almost here.
  3. Blaine & Sharolyn each get to have a friend over tomorrow night. This equals them cleaning up the second floor - Hallelujah!
  4. I got to hold my great-nephew for an hour this afternoon.
  5. I finished Sharon's knitted purse.

and finally...

I'm thankful that a day has only 24 hours!

I hate finals.

I really hate finals. Though I am over halfway done. I took my Real Estate Law final on Saturday morning - flunked it with a 66%. So I thought I'd go over it again - backwards this time, "correcting" wrong answers as I go. Yeah right. This time I got a 61%. Back to the books I go. After staying up until 12:45 am studying I decided to go to bed. On Sunday, I did the test over & got a 88%. Tom was proud of me, but my thoughts are, "Good grief! I spent 3 HOURS studying & all I got was 88%????" I think I can be too hard on myself. Spent about 30 minutes reviewing Module 5 tonight in Blaine's room while he was trying to go to sleep. Apparently, he "heard a scream" and would NOT stay in his room alone. Whatever. He came up with quite a few unique reasons for not wanting to go to bed last night. :)

7 tests down, two to go...

I don't believe it. I have taken 7 of my Real Estate quizzes today. I have only 2 quizzes left, then I have to take the finals for each of the 7 Modules. I aced the math test! (Well, I only missed 2, I'd call that ace-ing it!) I'm tired. The kids didn't have school today - the roads were so icy this morning that going to work would have been treacherous, so we had to stay home. I think I made good use of my time. :)

Last night I had an interview at Keller Williams Realty. I think I'm probably going to go with them. I really like what they have to offer, and who can complain about a 70/30 commission split? That's 70% to me and 30% to the KW company, up to 21K or 23K in a year, then I will get 100% of my commissions. I'm unaware of any other companies offering this. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get my license before February, but I think I might be able to! Well, here goes everything!

I think I'm going to quit studying for the night...

To blog or not to blog...

That is the question. Whether 'tis nobler to get housework done, or update this, I do not know.

I had a scrapbooking workshop last night. There were 8 scrappers there. Unfortunately, the heat had not been turned on before we came & it was freezing!!! I got to discover how to run a boiler - a talent not everyone has I must say.

A question: When Patonstm makes a kind of yarn, such as Mosaictm, why don't they put patterns of things to make with it on their website?

My job: It seems to be morphing (not to be confused with morphine!) into more of a bookkeeping position. I never thought I'd have "fun" working with accounts and stuff, but this is really enjoyable! I guess it's a good thing to like your job.

Well, I guess I'd better get the housework done. Unfortunately, it won't do it by itself...

Post number one!

You may wonder (I doubt it) what my Blog name means. Well, my two favorite pastimes are scrapbooking & knitting so it just evolved.

I mainly am creating a blog so that I have a way to keep track of all the knitting projects I do this year. Once I can figure out how to post pictures (and when I have the time - thank goodness for snow days!) I'll update this.

Until then, keep those needles stitchin
